So This Is Christmas - Part 2
This last week at school, things were off kilter just because our students were so ready for the break, as were we. Then we had a day without internet, and later that day we were without electricity. Rounding up 24 freshman in a pitch dark room for anything over 2 minutes is not my idea of fun.
Grant had his Christmas party at school and was quite worn out by the end of it all. He fell asleep not too long after we got home.Friday, we had a half day at school and were supposed to wear our 'tacky sweaters'. I convinced Daniel to wear this, and it was a hit!
(Speaking of a hit) Later that night, Daniel and I were on the way to a Christmas dinner/party with some friends and we came across someone stopped in the road (and we were in the middle of no where). It was some of our friends on the way to the party and they had hit this monster of a bobcat.

Grant did really well until rolling out the dough. I kept catching him throwing more and more flour on it....the table...the flour...his clothes....me...etc.

So This Is Christmas
Every year, Grant and I have made a gingerbread house from a kit, but this year I was lucky enough to come across a gingerbread train. I liked it much better! We decorated while Daddy took an evening nap.

On a Saturday morning, we had Breakfast with Santa at our church. They always do a great job of putting this together. I was excited my sister and her family got to join us.
Vivian enjoyed the food and getting to see Santa as well!
Here is Grant talking to Santa about his wish list of robot dinosaurs and a newly added pogo stick (I'll have to talk to Santa about age restrictions on that one!)Saturday, November 26, 2011
Happy Thanksgiving

Upon our return home, we got all sorts of things accomplished like backed up cleaning duties, laundry, and movie watching. Grant was a good help. I found him reading in bed one night, so cute.

I came home with things MUCH better, and cheaper than this!

Thursday was Thanksgiving Day. We woke up and Grant actually didn't care to watch the parades. He joined me in watching Beauty and the Beast which happened to be playing on the Disney Channel. I spent the majority of the morning singing the entire score of the movie.
We went to MiMi and PawPaw's house for Thanksgiving and my sister and her family joined us. Grant wanted to say the prayer, and I thought I filmed it. However, this is the only thing that came out: A picture of him scratching his nose and Vivian in the background looking shocked. Oh well, it was a great prayer of Thanksgiving.

I also tried to get some pictures of Grant for our Christmas card. He was NOT happy about it. I even tried bribing him with ice cream. I came away with 1 usable picture and he got 'bamilla' ice cream.
