Pre-Holiday Festivities

Before Christmas began, we had our plate full!  We had an ice storm roll through our area and we got to be out of school one day.  Grant went out in the backyard and through ice at us through the window.

Reagan didn't know what to think of it.  She kept trying to wipe it off the window!
Daniel and I were fortunate to go make gingerbread houses with Grant and his classmates.

I was able to attend his Christmas party.  His teacher made these adorable shirts for the students.
My brother and his family arrived the weekend before Christmas.  We used this time to visit the Ft. Worth Children's Museum.  Daniel stayed home with Reagan which meant I got to ride the backseat with this cutie, Claire.

There is one section with an old trolley car.  Grant said, "Here is my ticket, ma'am!"

They had an adorable Curious George exhibit.

That evening I made dinner for the family.  Reagan kept stealing Claire's food off her tray.  Finally Claire just started handing the food to her!
The next day we said goodbye to our elf, Christopher.
He wasn't too mischievous this year, but he did get a little creative.

Reagan's 1st birthday

Our baby girl is one year old.  She not only walks now, but is fast!  If you blink while our hallway door is open, you will find her in the bathroom.  She still loves watching "Peppa Pig", her brother, and listening to Elmo sing.  Her most content position is with a pacifier in each hand and a bottle on the way.  When she takes her bottle, she MUST be holding on to something like your hand or her pacifier.  Sometimes she just pats you on the shoulder as if to say, "Hi, Mommy!".  If she gets a full nights rest, she is smiling and ready to go in the morning.  We are blessed to have such an easy going, beautiful girl!

We celebrated Reagan's birthday a day early.  Daniel's cousin was coming to visit and for dinner before she left college to go back home for her winter break.  We sang "Happy Birthday" to Reagan using her favorite dessert, a cup of mandarin oranges!

She didn't know what to think of it.  She was just whining because she wanted her oranges!

On Saturday, Reagan woke me up at 4:30am as if she knew it was her party day.  However, we started the day off by going to Breakfast with Santa at our church.

This is pretty mucht the cutest Santa I've ever seen!

Later that morning, we had a "Peppa Pig" birthday party for Reagan.

After the party, Daniel and I went to watch our football team in freezing conditions.  We stood up the whole game and cheered our team to a loss.  Even though I cold have standed to be a bit warmer, I love cold football games!

Grant ended up getting sick that night with strep and I got a touch of it the next day.
Sunday, Reagan got her one year pictures made with the professional photographer.
Here she is, dressed, and ready for her photo shoot!

One more week until Christmas break!
